Corrosion resistance

Like other aluminum alloys, 7075 alloy has strong oxidation resistance. 7075 T73 has the highest resistance to stress corrosion cracking, while 7075 T76 aluminum not only has high strength, but also has high resistance to stress corrosion cracking and spalling corrosion.

Forming Performance

The forming performance of 7075-O aluminum alloy is not as good as that of 2024-O alloy, but it has good forming performance at 180℃~370℃. The holding time in this temperature range should be greater than 2h. The formability of 7075-W alloy is equivalent to that of 2024-W alloy. . The 7075-T6 alloy has poor room temperature formability, but heating to 150°C~220°C can significantly improve its formability.

Weldability
