Using T6 heat treatment method, the 2219 aluminum alloy is solution treated at 515°C- 565°C for 5-40 minutes, and then quenched in water at room temperature for 5 minutes. The quenching transfer time is less than 10 seconds, and finally do aging treatment at a temperature of 160°C-190 °C for 1~21 hours. The final overall properties of 2019 aluminium alloy are good.
In this heat treatment, the percentage of content of 2219 aluminum alloy composition is: Si 0.2%, Fe 0.3%, Cu 5.8%-6.8%, Mn 0.2-0.4%, Mg 0.02%, V 0.05%-0.15%, Ti 0.02%-0.1%, Zn 0.1%, Zr 0.1%-0.25% and the rest is Al.
