In addition to its high toughness, 2014 aluminum alloy also has many advantages such as stress corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance, so it is often used in the manufacture of civil aircraft such as Boeing and Airbus. 2014 aluminum is used to manufacture rims that require high strength, high hardness and high load, such as rims, truck frames and suspension assemblies, rocket booster fuel tanks and structural parts, etc.
2224 aluminum alloy is a product obtained by further optimizing 2024 aluminum alloy. The performance of this aluminum alloy is more suitable for T3511 state extrusions, which are often used to manufacture large aircraft such as Boeing 767 and Boeing 757.
2524-T3 alloy is a good 2xxx aluminum alloy. All skins of ARJ21-700 regional airliner are made of its pre-stretched plates. 2524 alloy was born in 1995 and registered with the American Aluminum Association in the same year, while 2024 alloy was born in 1934. 2524 alloy is the sixth generation of 2024 alloy family, and their main components (Cu, Mg, Mn) have roughly the same content. 2024 t3 and 2024 t4 sheet are its common tempers.
