2024-T3 aluminum plate has high strength and also has excellent fatigue resistance. Welding is generally not recommended. Its typical uses are fuselage and wing skins, roofs, aircraft structures,etc. Its ultimate strength is 62,000 PSI and shear strength is 40,000 PSI.
